As I grow older and inevitably wiser, I find there is not a single Stones song I want to listen to.

In their dreams.

Although LZ had the good sense to hang it up when John Bonham died. The Stones have spent most of the past 30 years becoming caricatures of their old selves.

But in their prime, from 1968-72, they really were the greatest rock-and-roll band in the world.

 

I listen to my share of popular music. As long as it's good.

The Clash is down around 7-8-9. Burned out too fast.

 

The Kinks should be on that list somewhere.
