    Gallup has it at Obama 47% Romney 46% in its daily tracking poll:

    And, that's registered voters. Republicans tend to do better among likely voters.

    And, as this article points out, the Obama campaign still has some work to do getting a key constituency registered, and motivated:

    Not rhetorical. I honestly can't remember and I don't feel like looking it up.

    IIRC, they don't poll cell phone users, only landlines, which gives them a fairly conservative lean. But in the last election, a lot of "undecideds" were really just McCain voters who didn't want to seem uncool, and it balanced out.

    Hysterical, in that it recalls the greatest such fiasco of them all . . . the 1936 Literary Digest poll, which figuratively handed the election to Landon over Roosevelt . . . the LD actually only surveyed people with a phone in their homes -- and if you were relatively well-off enough to have a phone in your home in '36, there was a decent chance you leaned GOP. The result essentially destroyed the LD as a viable publication, and it folded, soon after.

    Gallup's new daily tracking poll is out. They have Romney up by 1%.

    The SportsJournalists.com poll has Obama up by 86 percent.
