You're again ignoring what Grenell himself said his reasons were for resigning.

Um, YF, is this guy (a) A Jonathan Capehart wanna be, (b) a writer for a left wing magazine, (c) a left wing website, or (d) leader of a highly influential bloc of Republican voters?

    http://www.mediaite.com/online/evangelical-leader-bryan-fischer-declares-huge-win-after-romneys-gay-spokesman-resigns/

Bryan Fischer, the director of issue analysis at the American Family Association, reacted to news the that openly gay Mitt Romney spokesman Richard Grenell has resigned, following backlash (citing personal reasons). Fischer called the development a “huge win” — adding that it likely ensures Romney won’t hire someone who is openly gay for a prominent position any time soon.

So, just so I am clear, it's the left's fault that Mitt Romney's staffer quit?

It's not the fringe, either. I get your point with saying "not all" but gay bashing is right there in the party platform.

James Dobson and Focus on the Family? They're GOP establishment. This is who that party is beholden to. This is who elected Bush in 2004.

A nitwit who holds a fair amount of power in the Republican Party. Romney should go ahead and tell the AFA to piss off. It's political cowardice otherwise, so the logic seems to go around here.

There's also some racism in there, if that makes you feel better.

If, by all accounts, the guy is a nitwit, then it really calls into question Mitt Romney's ability to hire staff. During the run-up to Obama, there were plenty of critics complaining that he'd never really hired staff -- but you don't hear much harping anymore. OTOH, pretty much the only person on Romney's campaign staff that any of us can possibly name turns out to be a nitwit? Interesting.

You come up with a term for "lining up anti-gay legislation to appear on the ballots in states we really want or need to win for the last 20 years" and I'll live with the term.

    Gay bashing for electoral benefit?

More on how teh gay was driven out of the campaign, although there's no mention of the highly secretive, vast left wing conspiracy that apparently pulled it off:

Remember: Grenell was told to be silent solely because he was gay. He was accused in National Review of being a potential fifth columnist for Barack Obama

I'm going to scour the Internet to find someone who says what I didn't realize I believed and present as a significant part of my expertise on whatever subject it is we're talking about.
