Mitt Romney's website has nothing about the sixth anniversary of Romneycare. And there's no thread here. Where are the thread police to start one?

Traditional 6th anniversary material is 'iron.' So maybe a nice cast iron griddle; or a cannonball.

    Two thoughts:

    1. Who the fuck is Hillary Rosen? Seriously, I've never heard of her until yesterday.

    2. Spare me the "Poor Ann" shit. The only economic decisions she's had to make is to decide which Cadillac to have her driver take her kids to school in. She's never had to decide between going to work because her asshole boss threatens to fire her or to stay home with a feverish kid throwing up.

Her main claim to fame was she ran AMPAS for years, the music industry trade organization that hosts the Grammys. As the head of AMPAS, she was remarkable -- for managing to piss off record labels, musicians, artists, writers, radio and the industry in general simultaneously.

She was a clown then, she's a clown now, she has no more input on Democratic policy than Ann Coulter does.

The latest commie pinko liberal to accuse Fox News of bias: Newt Gingrich.

    http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2012/04/12/gingrich_unloads_on_fox_news_in_private_meeting___113818.html

During a meeting with 18 Delaware Tea Party leaders here on Wednesday, Newt Gingrich lambasted FOX News Channel, accusing the cable network of having been in the tank for Mitt Romney from the beginning of the Republican presidential fight. An employee himself of the news outlet as recently as last year, he also cited former colleagues for attacking him out of what he characterized as personal jealousy. ...

“I assume it’s because Murdoch at some point [who] said, ‘I want Romney,’ and so ‘fair and balanced’ became ‘Romney,’ ” Gingrich said. “And there’s no question that Fox had a lot to do with stopping my campaign because such a high percentage of our base watches FOX.” ...

He saved his strongest condemnation for syndicated columnist and ABC television commentator George Will, who has been critical of the former congressman throughout his campaign.

    ...

“In the case of Will, I was on [George] Stephanopoulos on Sunday morning with him, and it was kind of a ‘You’re not allowed to run for office -- I mean, if you could run for office, why am I not running for office?’ ” Gingrich said. “And it’s almost like they were personally offended. You know, ‘This can’t be real, and how can this guy go do that?’ I got that reaction from Will a few years back about writing a book because I’m supposed to be a politician. He’s supposed to be the writer. Well, I’ve now written 24 books, and 13 of them are New York Times bestsellers. I mean, there’s a morning when George ought to just get over it.”

Childhood nanny of Ann Romney, who supplies a good deal of idiosyncratic personal information it would be seemingly almost impossible to fake, provides support for the position, "she never worked a day in her life."

Wow, I gave Ann some credit. I figured she decided which Caddy would take the kids to school. I didn't take into account that she would have a nanny who could make those decisions.

I'm still waiting to see if Herman Cain ends up the nominee.

Showing how this whole thing always eats itself eventually, Republicans are now apologizing because the Catholic League (what teams are in that league, anyway? All I see is that one crank) tweeted that Ann Romney's kids count more than Hillary Rosen's because the latter is a lesbian, and the latter also had to adopt her kids, while Romney's kids were "her own."

Is there anyone left to piss off, here?

I like this quote from the story I link to below:

The apology train had come full circle, but not before it eclipsed any actual news that might have had a run in the spotlight. Is this what the general election is going to be like?

“Dear God, I hope not,” said one unaffiliated Republican consultant who worked in the Republican primaries. “This presidential campaign makes me want to start doing drugs.”

I want to know how many times Fox News "accidentally" identifies Ms. Rosen as Hillary Clinton.

    Hmmpf.

Usually it's the Dems who do the gratuitous self-flagellating apologizing for shit they really have no reasons to apologize for (mainly to people who will never support them no matter what).

Do the GOPers think they will now pick up a bump of support from lesbians newly un-offended by the Catholic League's comments?

How many lesbians are going to support the GOP, at all, ever, no matter how many times they apologize?

Probably about as many billionaire-princess homemakers from gated platinum-mansion communities who are suddenly going to jump on the Obama bandwagon because his campaign has disowned Rosen's comments.

The most quietly effluent campaign in history.
