If every taxpayer followed Mitt's lead, and requested and extension on performing their civic duty, would the government be forced to shut down?

Is that what he's hoping for?

At least $40-60K for full-time work, according to some Boston domestic staffing agencies:

Some real rocket scientists on the board today. You can file an extension if you owe, you just have to pay an estimated amount. And trying to attack someone politically for filing one is stupid and desperate.

Yeah, you can have an extension on filing, not paying.

You still owe, and have to at least pay estimated taxes.

Romney is rich. He doesn't have to pay taxes.

My guess? His taxes are done and ready to go, they're just trying to figure out how to optimize the press coverage on it. Maybe paying a higher percentage, cutting some deductions he could have taken, making sure he ends up paying a higher rate than the Obamas.
I wouldn't doubt that the Obamas made sure they ended up paying a higher rate than the WH secretary judging by how much the campaign has been touting the Buffett rule this week.

Were they full-time house keepers for the Romneys?

The story doesn't say, either way.

You would think with three houses, even if they devote a day of housekeeping to each of them once a week, would be a 60 percent a week job. That should be anywhere from $24-$36K, according to the Boston agencies. Not $20K.

Minimum wage in Mass. is $8.00 an hour which figures out to $16,000 a year (presuming 2 unpaid weeks vacation).
