Lugs, you can always give me the dude's name and I'll see to it that he walks with a limp for a week. Possibly two.

You'd be amazed how terrified these kind of men get when someone "accidentally" steps on their foot and gives them a menacing look on a crowded subway.

And Jason, I love the fact that you run the Kansas City media scene like Avon Barksdale runs West Baltimore. I'm not sure if that makes Posnanski your Stringer Bell, but I'll be your Slim Charles or Cutty Wise any day.

OMG, and I thought the crap on here was bad enough. At least on here chances are that they don't know the woman.

And Jason, back away from Luggie. . . slowly please . . . back away.

Geez, Luggy, how'd you like to own a TV station? Sounds like with a moron like this for a boss and the right lawyer, you could own the one you're at now.

And I second DD's offer. I just think if some asshole said that about my daughter, he'd have to get a lot better before he'd be able to limp.

Nothing like prejudging a person because he or she belongs to a particular group, eh, Jergens?

Lugnuts can put her journalistic credentials next to yours any day, big guy.

This from a sports-talk radio wannabe who writes up homophobic signs on the job.

Here's the thing about making a big fuss, and I obviously can't speak for Luggie . . . most of us like being employed. Heck, some of us even like our jobs, sexual harassment aside. Rocking the boat often results in becoming unemployed. Unless you've got a union behind you or it's super egregious, a lot of women I know just deal with it.

I can only hope the real Jason Whitlock is completely different from the screen "persona" he has created here.

I think most of us feel that way. I'd hate to have to work with him.

I dunno J_W ... I know you played college football and all, but I've seen you on TV (yeah, I know, it adds 10 pounds) and those shoulders look pretty squishy to me.

Back on topic ... this seems to be an interesting test case because it's clear Moss is not exactly Miss Popularity with her peers, who nonetheless seem to be, at least to some extent, rallying around her. would've been easier with someone who was more widely respected (and I'm basing this on the scattershot musings of the board; I have no personal experience around Moss).

A question tangential to the earlier discussion:

MLB says it won't do anything because credentialing is up to individual clubs, and there's no BBWAA connection, which might cause MLB intervention.

My question is this: Could we, as a small daily with no BBWAA members that covers the local MLB team as much as we can, expect any help from BBWAA if a similar situation were to happen to us? I have no reason at all to think we're in danger of being de-credentialed, but I'm curious to know if BBWAA's aid extends only to its members or to the (legit) newspaper community at large.

This from a tough-talking blowhard who hides behind a screen name.

Seriously, the sensitivity on this board is mind blowing at times.

So Jason's sexism and homophobia is OK because he posts under his real name while the rest of our opinions are crap because we've chosen to not to?
