Well, 21, we don't talk about print reporters specifically terribly often other than the big-name columnists (and Brennan and Jenkins make those discussions plenty). We talk about articles in newspapers and trends in the newspaper business. But about the bylines on the stories? Relatively sparingly.

for the most part (98 percent), tv people are not journalists, and i can't for the life of me figure out why they get upset when it's pointed out that they're not. my friends in tv are not in the least bit slighted by the assertion.

as for the idiots running around crying "sexism" and what a horrible human being i am, stand in line behind the white people and black people who think i'm racist against white people and black people. you're just as stupid as them.

the anonymous people on this board who take their anonymous characters seriously make me embarrassed for print journalists and tv personalities. it has to be a sarcastic joke.

having practiced both disciplines -- print journalism and tv personality -- i don't see either endeavor as superior to the other. if i want something resembling the truth, i'll go with the printed word. if i want to be entertained, i'll turn on the tube.

meanwhile, i continue to try and work my corners from miami.....david glass betta have my money when i get home.

Good column, I would have liked it better in the KC Star, but that's just me.

Great column. I don't mind it going on ESPN instead of KC - Glass has earned his national platform.

That was a fantastic and much-deserved piece of writing, Jason (deserved by the Glass family, of course, for their continued incompetence). Thanks.

Nice column, Jason. Another shot at Kietzman, which is more than fine by me...but my question is, where/when/why does it all stem from? Old days at 810? Before? After? Just curious, because you two have been trading public shots for quite some time now...more so in the past year than I can remember.

Edit: Enjoyed the Simien column this morning, too.

this is just what i do. nothing has really changed since 1994. i hammer clowns in the local media. before kietzman it was don fortune. i take shots at everyone in the local media, including myself, when i think it's warranted. there's nothing particularly special about kietzman. i helped kietzman and boeger build the station they operate and bolted when i thought i got a better deal and could get away from kietzman's behind-the-scenes politics. the new station offered a different form of stupidity so i got out of radio.
