No disrespect meant, but this prediction boasts an fundamental lack of knowledge about the 2006-07 New York Jets. They were only blown out in two game this season, at Jacksonville (41-0) and against Buffalo (31-13). The Jets outplayed New England in the second half of the first game, which was decided on a late interception of Chad Pennington. In New England, the Jets just kicked the hell out of the Pats. Mangini's boys might lose the game, but they won't be blown out.

    To recap . . .

The Jets WERE blown out by the Jaguars (who missed the playoffs).

The Jets WERE blown out AT HOME by the Bills (who missed the playoffs).

So a harmless prediction that they will be blown out, on the road, by the Patriots (a three-time Super Bowl winner who always bring their best in the postseason) "boasts a fundamental lack of knowledge"?

    Ohhhhhkaayyy.

  3. If both the Eagles and Seahawks win, then the Bears would face the lower-seeded Seahawks in the second round.

The Jets are going to lose and it's not going to be close. Pats will cover with relative ease.

You think Belichick and the Pats are going to be snoozing for this one? Pennington's noodle arm won't be able to beat the Pats deep, no matter how lean their secondary is.

Seriously, I kind of do like the Jets' chances this week, for some reason.

Belichick may never have been out for as much blood as he is in this game.

This feels like Shanahan against Al Davis in the enmity meter.

If the Seahawks lose in the first round, which is entirely possible because I picked them out of pure fanboyish reasons, then I think the Saints will represent the NFC and will get hosed by the referees in the Super Bowl.

    Edit: Correct picks in bold.

    NFC
    Wild Card round

    Seattle over Dallas
    N.Y. Giants over Philadelphia
    Divisional round
    N.Y. Giants over Chicago
    Seattle over New Orleans
    NFC Championship
    Seattle over N.Y. Giants

    AFC
    Wild card round

    New England over N.Y. Jets
    Indy over Kansas City
    Divisional round
    New England over San Diego
    Indy over Baltimore
    AFC Championship
    New England over Indy

    Super Bowl
New England over Seattle - Seahawks get dry fucked by the referees again.

If Brady wins a game in that stadium, it would almost qualify as a miracle.
