And Faour's boy takes a tough beat:

    Richard Wyrick Doubles Up
Richard Wyrick raises $120,000 before the flop, only to be re-raised to $290,000 by Rob Berryman. Wyrick comes back over the top and all-in for another $765,000. Berryman calls and flips over AK while Wyrick shows AQ. The board comes Q9857, and Wyrick's pair of Queens isg ood enough to double him up to $1,700,000. Berryman is left with $2,420,000 after this hand.

Berryman just dropped $1.1 mil chips to $2.4 mil but is still 12th in chips. Cunningham has moved up 28th with 1.3 mil in chips.

BTW, what was Nielson thinking re-raising all-in with a weak ace. It's one thing to open the action with it, hoping maybe to steal the blinds and antes and figuring at least you have an ace (note: only do this when shortstacked), but to re-raise there, after a raise and a call is pretty foolish. You've got to figure one of the two has a better hand than your A-3.

EDIT: beat me to it Lester

I was also going to question playing the weak ace. This is happening over and over again ... 8 and 9 handed, a weak ace is probably good enough to help you donate chips to a guy with a pocket pair or the better ace.

Sounds like a lot of this tournament has been an all-in fest. Did you get that idea playing there Faour?

I'm sure Faour can answer better than me, but I'm guessing that those are simply the hands that we're hearing about. Almost like if a team hit five 3-pointers in a quad-overtime game and four of them tied it and sent it to another overtime. On the highlights it might look like that team was bombing away, when in actuality, they only shot five.

Then again, I could be way off considering that with the sheer number of players, there's bound to be a bunch of assholes who think going all-in every fifth hand is sound strategy.

Cunningham seems to slowly but steadily be climbing in chip count. Up to 1.7 mil now and 22nd place. Breathing down Berryman's neck (1.85, T-18) for that matter. Prahlad Friedman right behind Cunningham at 1.65 mil and Humberto Brenes holding on for dear life with 430,000.

Almost didn't notice that Jamie Gold, whoever the hell that is, is skyrocketing in chips. Up to a commanding 13.5 mil, with No. 2 Erik Friberg at 4.6. Gold would have to be a complete asshole not to make the final table at this point. I'd say he should win, but the swings in no-limit can be huge, so he's still got some work to do.

The one thing that made me believe this was I read right after it was announced all the remaining players were in the money, there were so many all-in bettors just wanting to cash out (and then losing) that they had to stop play to pay those guys off and get them off the floor.

  9. I think all the all-ins are the reason the tourney is running so far ahead of schedule.

Gold is a former Hollywood agent. He repped Gandolfini and some others. He's no longer an agent, but a producer.

    Gotcha ...

As far as the tourney being ahead of schedule: Assuming they get down to the final table tonight, will they still hold the final table on Thursday and give everyone two days off (during which they and the spectators can spend money in the casino and in town) or just hold it tomorrow?
