Holy shit! Norm MacDonald has $39K in chips.

David Hasselhoff and Frank Stallone were unavailable for comment.

I know THE Norm MacDonald played in last year's WSOP, so I'm assuming it's the same guy.

That too is up there, probably 1 and 1A in my estimation.

I'm glad Raymer has proved a lot of people wrong because the assumption now is that the winner is just some donk that gets lucky. Hachem isn't quite in Raymer's class but he's notches above Moneymaker.

Hachem has had a hell of a World Series this year -- a 2nd, a 15th and a 4th for $347,000 in winnings and he's fourth in player of the year points.

    ROYAL FLUSH ALERT!!!

On a board showing Kd Jd 10d Ad 8c, Mike Sorrentino bets $2,000 and his sole opponent folds. Sorrentino opts to show his hand, As Qd, which gave him the royal flush. Sorrentino's stack is now up to $35,500.

    AMEN, Captain Lou.

Aside from being the best poker writer, Glazer was one of the good, good guys out there. He and I were supposed to have lunch one day and talk about poker PR and how our agency could get involved. Things kept coming up and we could never get on the same page. Then, I get back from a road trip, call him and find out what happened.

    Horrible.

    Thanks.

Did anybody see this thing ... unreal:

    Hardest Beat EVER

Jack Mahalingam is all-in for $5,000 and is called an opponent in late position.  Mahalingam shows 88 and his opponent has 55.  The flop is 655 and his opponent flops quads.  The turn is a 9 giving Mahalingam a gut-shot straight flush draw (his only way to win).  The river is the 7 giving Mahalingam the straight flush and the hand.

That's a direct kick to the nuts, right there.

Even worse than the beat Jennifer Harmon took last year (Having nut boat lose to straight flush).
