This is a good sign for the season, eh? A lighting issue delaying the start of the season-opener.

I ain't jealous, Flasher. Heck, I just ordered the Center/Centre Ice package. That means one thing: Me watching hockey every night Al Bundy-style!

Is there an online version of that like the ones MLB and MLS run?

I'm fortunate to have Center Ice on Dish.

There is an online version with a free preview at nhl.tv.

Centre/Center Ice. You can order the package on NHL.com and watch up to "four games" at a time.

Kopitar should have a big season. 30, 35 goals.

Same price as television. Free preview until October 9. I sign up, get a nice black screen.

Anyone know if Yahoo's broadcasting games online again? There's no mention in their NHL section.

It's good to see that some things never change.

Props to the NHL. Opening its season in London, so Ducks and Kings fans can't see their teams up-close-and-personal.

Hell, the only LA area paper that is staffing the series is the Times; LADN Kings writer is blogging the game.

How many other papers are there? Is this like the Stanley Cup Finals in terms of media coverage?

Cammalleri with the first goal of the season.
