Oh boy ... is that a thud I heard in Toronto? I feel awful for Mo.

3-1 Colorado midway through the second ... not a huge surprise.

I didn't see the entire game--but the Leafs didn't give up....they were buzzing Hedberg for the last minute of the g ame and it paid off.

    Toskala was solid.

was it me or was Malkin by far the best player on the ice during the Pens-Rangers game (besides Fleury)?

Also, when the hell did Jagr turn into such a pussy? Stupid question. It happened about a year before he left Pitsburgh. The pussification of Jagr seems to be getting worse though. He looks like he's dying inside ...

    Malkin was great. Absolutely dominant.

Preds are getting crowned in LA. Kings lead 5-0 with 7:38 remaining in the third.

Ugh. Get home, turn on NHL Network On The Fly hoping to see highlights from the Blue-Jackets-Blackhawks game.

    None available.

Dollar Bill from beyond the grave. And what's up with the Blue Jackets not broadcasting a division game?

Thank you, however, to On The Fly for showing the Ryan Smyth pregame tribute.

It got a little dusty in here as I watched that.

What happened? It wasn't shown on the Avs broadcast.

The video hasn't been YouTubed yet but here's some stuff from his pre-game press conference on Monday:

For a guy who wore his heart on his sleeve, Smyth knows that heart will be torn, especially after the Oilers show an expected package of some of his career highlights on the big screen at Rexall Place before puck drop.

"I'm sure I'll break down," Smyth said Monday during a press conference in Edmonton. "It'll be tough, emotional ... I'm from Alberta, my kids were born here, my fondest memories were as an Oiler."

The Canes thump the Sabres 6-2 and are looking as good or better than during the Stanley Cup championship season. And, of course, it's always good to see a result that goes well with Lindy Ruff's typical scowl.

The Flames could be about to give the Wild its first regulation loss of the season.
