I don't disagree but I don't think it's the case in the Bergeron hit.

You see it in minor hockey where kids will turn their backs at the last moment and the kid who hits him gets tossed from the game.

  2. It is not possible for Grapes to be a bigger POS.
Jesus, that's awful, and the hit on Bergeron was the worst non-stick-swinging cheap shot I've ever seen.

You and I need to have an International Grapes Summit.

Yes, Grapes was wrong on that, yes Grapes can be, well, Rush on skates, but he has from time to time been a major spokesperson for players' rights--like no touch icing and the old no-seam glass.

There are some hockey issues that Grapes & I agree on.

    Carry on.

Oh, English Canada beat the Frogs tonight.

Just in case you missed it. :)

The Lightning collapse is officially on. Up 4-1 in the second, give up five straight goals to lose 6-4 to the Thrashers.

Grapes is bang on with the no-touch icing, no-seam glass and the padding on top of the boards.

But he's dead wrong on the Jones-Bergeron hit.

Leafs got back to playing smart, simple hockey. Why is it that they can play that way on the road and play like the 1998-to-2004 Rangers at home?

Speaking of the Blueshirts, Midtown Manhattan's National Hockey League Franchise beat the cross-river Devils 2-1 in the shootout. Petr Prucha potted the only goal in the shootout and the best goalie in the world, Henrik Lundqvist, stopped 28 shots.

Really scary moment in Uniondale. Sid's stick caught Rick DiPietro in the face in the Isles' 3-2 win over the Penguins. DiPietro left the ice and went to a Long Island hospital.

Another benchbrawl in Junior A hockey. This time in the Alberta Junior A Hockey League. Drayton Valley Thunder (in white) vs. The Grand Prairie Storm (in Navy Blue).

Which is why Jones got a two game suspension — could have been five, but certainly not to the level of Boulreise (sp?) and Downie earlier in the year).
With the way a lot of NHLers turn their backs in the corners and along the end boards these days, it's a wonder there aren't more incidents like Bergeron's.

How much hockey have you watched then?

  10. OK, this time, it's personal.
And bass, since my father coached it for 15 years, the answer is quite a bit.

The worst? I'll respectfully disagree with you on that one.
Beef your bang on on this one.

Is my buddy Mark Howell still coaching Drayton Valley?
