I'll second "Tropic of Hockey." Excellent read.

I'll remember to not wear my LEAFS SUCK ASS tattoo when I'm visiting.

Leafs & Sabres at 0-0 after one.

Chris Cuthbert is doing the PBP from between the benches with Healy.

Cuthbert is maybe the best play by play guy in the biz.

Healy was always headed for the broadcast booth after he retired. The Heals and Flats segments were some of the most entertaining television you'll ever see.

Leafs looked really good tonight. Sabres looked like it was their first time playing together.

If you're an Oilers homer it's tough to beat Rod Phillips — but from a national stance I'll take Hughson over Cuthbert, but it's a pretty close call.

BTW — is Chris Cuthbert related by chance to Elisha Cuthbert?

Red Wings won their ninth in a row tonight, 12-2-1 now and Zetterberg has a 16-game point streak going, 26 points total.

They've put together a heck of a team, and Zetterberg, Holmstrom and Datsyuk may be the best line in the league.

And who gave Detroit its two losses? ;)

They were my pre-season pick to win it all.
They have done a terrific job at growing a new core of players in place of Shanny, Yzerman, et al. And then they have learned quickly to spend their cap money well, replacing Mathieu Schneider with Rafalski at a very reasonable price. They didn't go out and spend foulishly on other free agents just to send money.

My new favorite team.....I'm so pleased to see how well Kane and Toews are playing, and they're 1-2 in rookie scoring right now.
