I didn't realise Emile Francis was still alive.

Just realized they changed the lede from the first time I read the story this morning to which I copied and pasted. The rest of the story hasn't been changed and sounds like she's still missing.

    Nice work, TSN.

Matter of fact, I will. And I'll blame him for that seizure I had earlier today while watching the vid clips.

Dude needs to hold still ... just for two minutes. He may find he enjoys it!

We should create a blame McGuire Thread and just simply list all the things to blame him for...I can come up with plenty ;) ;D

McGuire is the only hockey broadcaster that I mute regularly.

Not only is McCown's program having Bettman but Marek is hosting him on HNIC radio...

Is anyone listening to HNIC radio?

    Bettman's on MCown's show regularly.

He's usually boring as batshit and McCown's a pussy with him.

So are you saying to listen to HNIC radio for more fireworks or is it much the same....BOOORRRINNGG!
I feel like Bettman is always reading a script because it sounds like a broken record everytime he talks.

I think the Canucks are going to be fine. They have the best goalie in the league and the deepest(not the best) back end as well. They will have to add another scorer throughout the season but they aren't up against the cap as they have been the previous 2 years. At least with Luongo they will be in every game. The west is so deep that a couple of good teams (and Edmonton) will be on the outside looking in at the end of the year.

I think the Canucks will be a dark horse. If they do well this season, it will be because Luongo has carried the team on his shoulders (kind of like Brodeur with the Devils). What concerns me is their offense....

While Edmonton has made some improvements, I still don't think they will make the playoffs. They have a great D-man in Souray who has the potential to score. Getting Penner is a good move for the team. I saw a TSN story about the Oilers and Rafi Torres says that over the summer about 10 players (including himself) went to LA to work with a personal trainer. It brought the team together. Torres said that the team is going in with high expectations and Kevin Lowe last night said that last year was an off year (you think? ::) ).
