Wings win shootout over the Ducks 1-0. Some weak attempts by Anaheim!

Hudler with the goal for the Wings, nice roofed backhander.

I can't understand why they aren't getting more speed up going in. Drive to the net, back the keeper up more quickly.

UPDATE: And now Heatley starts work on his new contract, gametying goal for the Sens. 3-3 against the Leafs.

Nice goal by Heatley to tie the Leafs-Sens at 3.

What do you think of the Stars new Unis? I'm liking the simplicity, and don't miss the big star on the front.

The star almost looks too small, though.

I think it looks better. If you're going to put numbers on the front of the white jersey like that, you've got to make it smaller.

I prefer the home unis with the big 'Dallas' on the front.

Meanwhile, we're going to have at least three OT games tonight. 3-3 end of regulation in Toronto.

And Heatley gets the gamewinner. Two goals and an assist for him tonight. Nice.

Paul Stastny gets a lead for Colorado on a nice wrister.

UPDATE: And the kid gets another to open the second. It's in the genes......

Yeah, I met Stastny when he was 15 ... he was fantastic then ... That was one helluva setup for the overtime goal in the Montreal-Carolina game ... JR, no reason to give up hope yet, I don't think. At times, Toronto looked better defensively than Ottawa looked offensively. Of course, it could just be an anomaly. :D

So, good deal for Heatley or the Sens? $7.5 million for his prime years seems like a good deal for Ottawa to me.

BTW, quote of the night from my GF as a closeup of Bertuzzi flashed across the screen earlier: "Where are his teeth?"

    I've missed hockey.

And there's Stastny's hat trick. The Pepsi Center is going wild.

His first pro trifecta. 3-1 Avs, nice one young man.
