Running 2007 NHL regular season thread

The Hurricanes have a press conference for 2 p.m. and word is that they'll name Ron Francis their assistant GM. Jason Karmanos, the son of the owner, abruptly quit last week.

 

Not that I'm overly excited, but it's fifty-five minutes until New York Rangers hockey.

 

Counting down with you Brother Beat. Tick tock ... Tick tock.

 

Drury is centering Jagr and Straka.
The second like is Gomez, Shanahan and Avery.

 

With all the hockey and baseball, there just aren't enough TVs!

 

That just gets me giddy!

 

Enough of the pregame ceremonies for both "7 p.m." games. Drop the pucks!

MSG just brought Brian Leetch out for the ceremonial puck drop and he's getting a long standing ovation. Richly deserved, too, since No. 2 is the greatest New York Ranger of all time.
