Running 2007 NHL regular season thread

Discussion in 'Sports and News' started by hockeybeat, Sep 26, 2007.

  1. Pittsburgh beats Montreal 2-0 thanks to a brilliant two-way performance by Evgeni Malkin. The Penguins playing their first game without Sidney Crosby got what can only be described as Malkin's signature game as a leader on this team.

Pathetic decisions by those in Montreal to not award Malkin one of the 3 stars of the night. I have no idea what game they were watching here.

I can't imagine that game will do anything, ratings-wise, going against Giants-Packers.

In Canada it's only shown on Leafs TV so the ratings will be meaningless.

However we can go down to our local Cineplex Odeon nineteen screen multiplex and watch it---for $11.95. Um, don't think so.

What, you don't want to give $12 to MLSE?

Indeed. He had some of the best pipes in the business. CFL football won't be the same without him, nor will some of the late HNIC games. A good man. RIP.

L.A., especially LaBarbera, is rebounding nicely after last night ... up 3-0 on Van. Armstrong, Thornton and Kopitar having a strong game.

Canucks have done a bad job moving the Kings from the slot.

Luongo was average which means Canucks lose. They actually outshot them by a wide margin.
That is why Luongo should be up for the Hart. If he lets in 3 they lose. It is that simple
