Thanks to you and HC. I had no proof - either hard copy or scientific - but I had suspected that if we didn't think much of him in the States that the good folks North of the Border probably weren't too high on him.

You have Dubya. We had Chretien and Martin. We have to share Bettman.

All call for a certain word that starts with ASS.

You see, Bettman is so insufferable, two countries have to bear his crap. I can see clearly now ...

I'm obviously happy that Staal won the MVP, but I've got to think that Nabakov or Nash were more deserving even though they played for the West.

I keep saying that, despite his lack of hype, Rick Nash is the finest offensive player in the league today. If he were playing in another market or on a stronger ensemble team, people would be talking about him all the time.

    Good Brampton boy.

Some of his moves are Lemieux-like. Huge guy with soft hands

I'd put him up there with Vinnie.

He is very good when he gives it 100%. Off the top of my head IMO you would have to look at Lecavailer,Crosby, Ovechkin, Thornton and Kovalchuck as having more of an offensive impact right now.

The problem with Rick Nash (in the East, anyway) is that unless you have NHL Centre Ice (which I don't) you never see him out here.

Should have been the MVP. Three pretty goals in a game and a league where they're trying to showcase creativity.

Anyone else watch the AHL skills competition last night. (Yes, there is such a thing.) Hey, there was fuck all else on at that time.

I was watching the Sting & The Ice Dogs.

Peter Loubardias was his usual annoying self but he kept asking the question I've been asking for a couple of years now: why the hell was Sebastien Dahm never drafted? Maybe I'm missing something other than he's maybe 5'8" on skates.

Was it better than the NHL Skills Competition?

If they really want to liven up Skills night the NHL should scrap the Young Stars Game and replace it with a 4-on-4 goalie game.

Seeing Martin Brodeur streaking down the ice on a breakaway in full pads would be fun to watch.
