Bet the SPHL doesn't have those fugly fancy new jerseys...

I don't know. Can we still call them sweaters now that they're part of a "uniform system"?

I'm not jumping up and down about the new sweaters, either. Glad I grabbed one more this offseason before Reebok enforced this wonderful "uniform system."

Doubt the SPHL organizations will spend that kind of money. The one I covered last year won't. Then again, that organization was losing money and left town.

Ovechkins lead the Kovalchucks 2-0 in the second.

Bertuzzi's an idiot, but what didn't we know.

Two-man advantage for the Ducks down 2-0 in Columbus, takes a stupid tripping penalty to take it away.

UPDATE: And Nash makes them pay on the ensuing power play. Second of the game 3-0 Jackets.

Shutout's gone w/3:23 left for Cam Ward. Two men down, couldn't hold on.

    Still 4-1 Whalercanes ...

After signing Bertuzzi, Brian Burke was widely praised for taking a calculated risk. But, I'm not sure why. Bertuzzi was a dressing room cancer in Vancouver and Florida--who somehow thought he was worth giving Luongo up for--released him halfway through last season. Bertuzzi wasn't terribly effective in Detroit, either; at least, though, they had people who wouldn't stand for his shit.

Minus Selanne and Scott Niedermayer, who are the Ducks' leaders? Pronger? Don't make me laugh.

    Thanks Sammy!

Isles up 6-4 in the third.

Clearly, it has not been a showcase for DiPietro or Miller.

How do you have to feel about now as a Sabres fan? Miller's getting beaten left and right, Briere scores two goals for the Flyers last night and Drury helps lead a win for the Rangers.

    Poor Lindy. :)

Anybody know why Johnson is playing instead of Kolzig? Are the Craps saving Kolzig for Saturday's home opener against Carolina?

I would guess that's the case.

Fleury got pulled after the second in Carolina. The announcers said it was maybe because they wanted him fresh for the Pens home opener tomorrow.

Florida didn't release Bertuzzi. He was traded at the deadline.
