The link to Burnside's Shermanizing of Atlanta:

This guy's emergence hasn't helped Atlanta or Washington:

Colorado appears to have forgotten they had a 3 p.m. opening faceoff today. Avalanche are down 3-0 to the Oilers at the end of the first period.

Gutless "effort" by the Avs, who are giving the Oilers the middle of the ice.

EDIT: Avs scored three times in the first five minutes of the third to tie the game at four. Oilers just potted a goal and now lead 5-4.

What a game. looked like a mid-80's Oilers game. Whoever you were cheering for, that was fun to watch. Oilers now just 3 points back of Colorado for the final playoff spot. Going to come down to the last game of the season again.

Big, big game in Pittsburgh tonight. Pens on the board first and lead Devils 1-0.

edit: and now they give up a shorty. 1-1.

What in the world has gotten into the Leafs tonight? Goals at the 19-minute mark of the 2nd, the 1-minute and 2-minute mark of the 3rd to take a 5-4 lead.

Great game in Montreal. Habs and Bruins are tied at two with 2:38 remaining. This game has had everything: Skating, goals, grit, checking, fighting, great goaltending.

    Memo to Gary Bettman:

This is the type of game that you want your league to provide to the public at large.

Would be a pretty big (at least) one point for the Bs. And Marty has been chased in Pittsburgh.

edit: Malkin welcomes Weekes with a blast. Now 5-1.

So Montreal's overall lead in the East grows, yes?

    What's the score in Pittsburgh?

Pens up 5-1. Pens came in 1 point behind Habs and with a game in hand, IIRC.

Oh wow. Malkin again. 6-1 lead and no Crosby tonight. Goals were points 100 and 101 on the season.

Radio just said if the Habs tie and the Pens win, Pittsburgh leads the conference via total wins tiebreaker.

Tough to tie in the shootout era. Speaking of, the Habs and B's are going to penalty shots.

    EDIT: Montreal wins.
