Headbutt, officials can check with the folks in Toronto who are wired in if the replays at the arena aren't conclusive.

I'll stop now because we're on different sides during this game.

It ain't some homer official in the NFL reviewing those calls. It'd just be nice to have them in the arena, that's all. Makes it seem less suspect to me.

BTW, these refs in Carolina are awful. At times it's almost as if they've never read the rule book before the way calls are getting ignored, while other cheap shit is called.

I sure as hell hope the Caps find a way to make the playoffs.
What a series Montreal and Washington would be or the pens and caps

If it's Pens and Caps I want nothing less than the blood of everyone wearing black and gold left on the ice every night. Blood.

I um, still hold a grudge going back to just about every fucking year of the 90's.

They used to do it strictly from the rink but there were some incidents that cost a few people their jobs. I think it was in Dallas but I'm not sure. The replay officials were the same for each and every game and made some terrible errors in favor of the home team.
I don't mind that they go to Toronto for reviews I think that is the best system for a sport where they play 3 to 4 times a week.

Boston coming up huge against the Leafs.

If the Canes can beat the Caps in regulation and the Bruins win, the Caps are going to be in even bigger trouble.

edit: and ottawa's got the shits again. Sabres score three straight to take 3-1 lead. Sens could get passed by the Rangers tonight.

Is anyone in Ottawa taking notes that Bryan Murray royally screwed up by firing the coach and thinking he could push the players' buttons?

I don't think Paddock would be do any better.
They royally fucked up the way they handled Emery.

Hossa hits the empty net. Pens will have 4-point lead on Devils and Rangers will pull to within one of New Jersey with a win.

Sens back even with Buffalo. I can't decide if I think they're going to win the East or get swept in the first round. Nothing would surprise me.

Disagree on Emery. Can't let an inmate run the asylum.

As for Murray's fumbling, if ownership doesn't take action, Ottawa will go right back to the toilet that it took years for the organization to climb out of after being award a team. The Sens' fall from grace has been especially ugly. Ottawa has the offensive talent to blow out teams ... and is so mentally fragile, could be easily blown out.
