Running 2007 NHL regular season thread

  1. MB - Davison's hit was WAY too low for a hip check and looked way too much like an attempt to hurt Hossa. Tim Jackman is a career AHLer that has the guts to slash Malkin, refuse to fight Ruutu or Laraque but will drop his gloves to fight Sydor. I would rather see Pittsburgh go after NY's young stars but no one is worth that in NY.

Caps-Bolts go to overtime: The Canes' SE Division lead down to 3.

Canes also with a game in hand, though. And there's still a Carolina-Washington game left.

Caps win, so the Canes lead now is down to 2. That Tuesday game in Washington just became bigger.

Guess what's happening now after the Caps get the gamewinner in overtime. Ladies and Gentlemen, your purported Team USA Head Coach.

Torts was made over some icing calls. Though the Lightning were more than content to just keep dumping it down and not even chase.

Tampa also had some good looks in OT that could have won it, but Huet came up big. The winner was Fleishman's first points of the month.
