Nabakov or Brodeur. What Brodeur has been able to do with that young line up in New Jersey this year has been remarkable. And as was pointed out before, Nabakov has been outstanding this year.

Saku Koviu is not playing tonight due to an injured foot. Kovalev is wearing the 'C' for Les Habitants.

Is this the first time he's worn it? And if so, wouldn't he be the first Russian to do so?

Kovalev wore the 'C' earlier this season, when Koviu missed a game against the Rangers. As far as being the first Russian to wear the 'C', wasn't Yashin the Senators captain?

    Cherry's ripping into the Roys.

And don't look now, but the Flyers are giving the Caps life: Down 2-0 to the Isles, while the Caps lead in Florida, 1-0.

  6. The Flyers are going to have a hard time making the playoffs if they lose this game with 2 games against Pittsburgh and 1 versus New Jersey.

    Big goings on ...

Montreal losing to Toronto: Would give Pittsburgh a leg-up in the race for first in the East
Flyers losing again: After pulling even, they now trail 3-2
Caps winning: Team Ovechkin on cruise, could pull within one point of Philly
Canes laboring: Tied with Tampa at the end of two. Regulation loss would set make showdown with Caps on April 1 even bigger.

Chasing the playoffs in the East:
    7. Philly (91): at Pit, vs. NJ, vs. Pit
    8. Boston (90): at Buf, at NJ, at Ott, vs. Buf
    9. Wash (88): vs. Car, vs. TB, vs. Fla

Flyers' comeback tonight a pretty severe blow to the Caps.

I really want to see someone go down in flames so the Caps can get in.

Philly's got the toughest remaining schedule.

I've heard chatter that BBJ might sit out one of the Philly games, FWIW.
