Pittsburgh and Montreal going to be neck-and-neck for the Eastern Conference one seed. I can't see the Pens sitting everyone, so to me, it's irrelevant if Crosby misses a game.

Does anybody know when the first possible day for an NHL playoff game would be?

  4. All games are over on Sunday, April 6th. They usually wait 2-3 days so I'm guessing Thursday, April 10th.

Dubinsky with a PPG. Rangers 1, Penguins 0, three minutes in.

Btw, Marian Gaborik has some serious jets. I'm guessing you will all see the OT goal vs. the 'Lanche.

Damn. I may have to try to get a ticket to Tuesday's Caps-Hurricanes game.

Checking in on the Caps (and no, I still don't think they're getting in)

    3. Carolina (90): at Was, vs. TB, vs. Fla
    ----------------------------------
    7. Philly (91): at Pit, vs. NJ, vs. Pit
    8. Boston (91): at NJ, at Ott, vs. Buf
    ----------------------------------
    9. Wash (88): vs. Car, vs. TB, vs. Fla

Of note: Isn't the first tiebreaker total wins? Right now Carolina is +2 over Washington in that. Which leads me to believe their magic number is 2 wins. Caps, though, are tied now with Philly and Boston in wins. My best guess is they'll need to get to at least 93 for any kind of shot.

    Caps have more losses though.

And I think they aren't getting in. Stupid bullshit of getting a point for losing in OT. Fuck that!
