    It's times like this I wish we had NHL Centre Ice.

    Justin Williams and Ray Whitney will be back for the Canes, although they are going to ease in Williams and put him on the fourth line.

    You might want to see if your cable provider is having a free preview of MLB Extra Innings. Down here, they are, and they broadcast the baseball on the same channels as the NHL package.

    Ergo, free hockey for the remainder of the regular season.

    Yup. If the Canes win in regulation, the Rangers clinch a berth.

    From what I've seen, it looks like the Caps are taking it to the Whalercanes.

    It's now 2-0 after one. Brooks Laich with his 21st of the year came with :59 seconds left. This Cappies team is hot enough, and good enough, to win the east. They won't. But they COULD.

    The Eastern Conference fears the Cappies. 3-1 now after a double minor gave them a 4 minute PP. The goal came with 2:03 left so they still have another 2 minutes. Boudreau HAS to be the coach of the year.

    If Washington makes the playoffs, they'll do their usual choking dog routine. :)

    Ovechkin's 63rd goal seals it. They're up 4-1 with 3 minutes left. It was a "how the fuck did he do that?" goal.

    We've got a tie atop the standings in the SouthLeast Division. Just need Tampa Bay or Atlanta to beat the Whalercanes one more time this week to get it done.

    Ovechkin = MVP

    Leafs lose to the Sabres in a shootout.

    Well, Buffalo's barely alive but it could all come down to a Buffalo/Bruins game on Saturday.

    And there's still a chance that the Sens could get bounced from the playoffs.

    We can only hope.
