I guess I don't get why someone would want to beat the crap out of someone because they don't cheer for the same team. I find it completely ridiculous. It's just a game people, not life or death.

Funny but when I was at the game in Boston last week I was wearing my 1930's era Leafs jersey and all I got were compliments. :)

Was that to commemorate the year you were born?

Maybe because the guy that got his ass kicked was mouthing off in enemy territory.

He didn't get his ass kicked. He was a victim of a gang beating.

He said, " 'how about those Flames' and that's all I said," recalled Parker, 22.

And then five gutless pukes driving around in daddy's Benz jumped the guy.

I'd throw fucking Starman justice at them and I hope the guy sues their asses off.

He saw the guys in the car glaring at him. Instead of keeping his yap shut, he decided to talk shit.

Did he deserve it? No. Did he ask for it? Yes.

"How about those Flames" is hardly talking shit.

And those guys could have kept on driving.

I doubt one of those little pricks had the cojones to go against the guy on one on one.

Sorry, they're beneath comtempt and they deserve everything the law throws at them.

    And more.

But maybe they were just good old Alberta rednecks.

I'll second JR's sentiments and note to mustardbased that nobody deserves to get beat up for saying "how 'bout those Flames." Even if they are an Oilers fan.

On a side note, Calgary is a city of a million people. They're certainly not all saints. Sad that this happened but I can't say I'm surprised.

Eric Staal scored 32 seconds into the Whalercanes' game against Tampa.

I knew wearing the Staal T-shirt would help. :D (Sorry, Ronny ... at least for this game)

Hawks up 3-0 on the Wings, 10 minutes into the game. :)

I really would like the Lightning to lie down as well as they have tonight against the Whalercanes tomorrow against the Capitals.
