I just saw the highlights. It's as if Bobby Clarke never left the GM's chair. The mere fact that this team appears to be dirty little bastards is reason enough to pull for anyone playing them.

I hope the Caps get in, too ... as long as it's not at the Whalercanes' expense.

 

Hockey version of schadenfreude.

Leafs play the Sens tonight.

The gutless pukes from our nation's capital desperately need to win or they may end up missing the playoffs.

But hey, they haven't beat Toronto in four playoff rounds so why should tonight be any different.

And who said the Leafs didn't have any meaningful games left?

And the Sens meet the Bruins next .

Gotta love it.

Like to share with the board that I was lucky enough to go to the rink with JR and HC, and they are as delightful as you expect they might be, even with the Leaves losing.

 

No surprise, Fenian. JR and HC put up with some schmuck wearing the sweater of some team from a non-traditional market at the Hockey HOF in Toronto. After that, it's all downhill.

 

And you introduced us to Sullivan's, a great American bar with a bartender right out of central casting. It's too bad you dashed home after the game---we went back for a couple and met some great folks--some of whom wanted to buy my retro Leafs jersey.
