I think there are many hockey fans who heart the Panthers after tonight.

Of course, the Cappies have to beat 'em tomorrow.

My friend, two is better than one. One's great. Two guarantees.

Boston's about to clinch a playoff berth. The Sens are getting booed from the home crowd. And Jack Edwards has a massive erection.

Two is great, but the Caps and Canes are tied now and the Canes are done. A point clinches the spot. Boston's win means the Caps can't back in, though. Gotta get a point at home tomorrow.

I see that Philly, Ottawa and Boston all clinched playoff berths tonight. If the Caps win tomorrow, does that eliminate Carolina?

Correct. Washington gets the No. 3 with a win, SO loss or tie. Carolina gets it if Florida wins.

Anyone catch Jingo Jack Edwards' call at the end of the Bruins game?

Edwards is just dreadful as a play-by-play voice. He tries create emotional moments. Or have we all forgotten "Mine eyes have seen the glory!"?

He outdid the "I guarantee you, this is stopping traffic all over Europe!"

He listed off all the preseason predictions of the media outlets picking the B's 12th, 13th, 14th whatever then dropped a "And TSN picked them dead last, their dead wrong and the Boston Bruins are going back to the playoffs!"

Delivered in his best "Mine eyes" voice.

Whalercanes have no one to blame but themselves, not only for the loss in the season finale but also for their playoff fates.

Vokoun and Anderson were terrific. Looked like the Italians in a World Cup match ... defend, defend, defend ... oh, there's an easy chance. Defense overrotated throughout the game and as many chances as Carolina had on the power play, it made Florida's defense all the more impressive.

Oh, I heard. Poor Andy Brinkley, having to clean up Jackie Boy's mess after the fact.
