Jonathan Toews scores in his debut, on an assist from Patrick Kane. I think HB was right. The Hawks have a dearth of young talent.

I told ya. All summer long. 'Hawks are loaded with talented kids.

If they can figure out a way to land John Tavares...look the fuck out.

Tavares is the next big prospect. I think he's draft eligible in two years (but I may be wrong on that).

Well, I think I might allow myself to be lured back in. Of course, I'll maybe see them on TV two or three times this year, but I digress ...

Of course I don't think the Blackhawks will be bad enough to get the first pick the next two years, which may be good or bad, depending how you look at it.

Don't get too excited about the Hawks. Some of these guys are the same ones who put together a fabulous regular season in the AHL in Norfolk only to choke in the first round.

Anyone have any idea what to expect from Havlat this year? The shoulder injury reports I've read have been confusing. Some make it sound like he's not doing too badly, others make it sound like he's doomed to either surgery or a season of playing with some impairment.

    Eyesores beat the Rangers, 2-1.

Toews can play. Kid was a beast for the Sioux.

That's all the input this college pucker can offer.

    You're right.

If his birthday was 5 days earlier (he was born Sept 20), he'd be eligible for the '08 draft. So, he'll be the top pick in '09 unless God comes back as a power forward
