A splintery 2x4. And finish the job with anal beads shaped like Lindros' head.

    (sorry, sportschick!) :D

And to add a little more info for Good Doc:

Tavares had 72 goals and 62 assists for the Oshawa Generals last year in the OHL.

He had to petition to play early in one league and eventually they let him. There's some talk that he may try petition to try to get drafted this year.

I haven't actually stayed up to date on that part of it, tho.

Now that I've been viciously pounded in the corner by my friends JR, Tommy Dreamer and Writing Irish--who I don't know all that well, I'm sorry to say--how about catching the Sharks? Any team with Big Joe is going to be fun to watch.

I'll throw my team into the mix.

Lots of scorers, pretty decent defenders, a goaltender who already has a Conn Smythe Trophy in addition to a Cup. Could use the backing ... and is fresh off embarrassing a traditional-market team.

I'm not saying my new team has to be original six, but since I'm still mad about Minnesota moving to Dallas, it probably won't be a non-tradtional hockey market.

    Re: Sharks
Thornton leaving the Broonz isn't quite Hull going to Winnipeg, but it's still egregious. Thornton's awesome and the Sharks are lots of fun to watch.

Not a fan of San Jose tonight, though...Sharks up 2-1 on Chicago with 3 minutes and change left in the 3rd.

I think the Bruins should have asked for the rights to Link Gaetz.

And the Blackhawks are now losing. Consarnit.
