Interesting stuff in today's Toronto Star on Bill Daly being all buddy-buddy with Ted Saskin and passing him info on which members of the NHLPA were trying to get rid of him. I can't see Donald Fehr getting help from MLB execs.

And why the fuck is TSN talking head Gord Miller getting involved with this?

Lucic is playing very well for the Bruins.

Savard with his 500th NHL point with an assist. Had 5 points in the game.

I did not realize Dave Lewis was an assistant coach in LA. And of course former B's GM/VP Mike O'Connell is the Kings Director of Pro Development.

    Both goalies looked atrocious.

Lucic was a stud for Vancouver during its Memorial Cup season last year. Big, tough kid with good hands. He should be a huge fave in Boston.

He wasn't last year. Hell of a nice guy though

I'm in Phoenix this weekend. Saw Game 2 of the NLCS last night, but stayed an extra night to catch tonight's Coyotes-Wild game at Glendale Arena (or, techincally, Jobing.com Arena). Looking forward to seeing hockey in another venue other than in Southern California or in New Jersey.

I've seen games at the L.A. Forum, Staples Center, Pond/Honda Center in Anaheim, United Center in Chicago, MSG, Continental Airlines Arena, Pepsi Center and McNichols Arena in Denver and the Shark Tank in San Jose.

Curious to know how many NHL arenas you've seen an NHL game at and, for those in Canada, what's the best arena for a game there (NHL or not)?

Have only been in the Saddledome and GM Place. I can tell you that there was no other place to be in the spring of 2004 than the Saddledome.

Don't know if it's still like that. Can't get tickets to a game to save a life.

Air Canada Centre is a great barn and Scotiabank Place is nice too, even if it's nowhere near Ottawa.

My fave rinks up here: the ancient Windsor Arena, home of the OHL's Spitfires (but not for much longer). Calmer than it used to be (my boy Fly can probably attest to that) and the washrooms are still not safe to use but it's a great old barn. Second-oldest rink (according to our man FoTF) where an NHL game was played. Sudbury Arena, home of the Wolves, is awesome too, particularly when it's full of drunk miners.

Haven't been in too many American NHL rinks but I really liked Columbus's.

Besides MSG, the Meadowlands and the Coliseum, I've seen games in the following venues

    Boston - 12/5/1998 - Bruins 2, Penguins 1
    2/13/2007 - Bruins 3, Oilers 0

    Philadelphia - 4/22/2004 - Flyers 3, Maple Leafs 1

    Los Angeles - 1/6/2007 - Kings 4, Red Wings 2

I've got the Spectrum from when way back when I was a kid and we had season tickets. And I've seen games at The Arena and Kiel/Savvis Center (haven't been since they've changed the name again.

Finally get to the new Wachovia on the Friday after Thanksgiving this year. Briere vs. Ovechkin ought to be fun.

Rangers give up three goals in 52 seconds of the second period. Trailing 3-0 to Ottawa in the third.
