Whalercanes up 2-1 late in third. If they hang on, I'm really liking the momentum wave this team is building - as much as one can be built this early ...

 

Pens lead Leafs, 5-4, in the third. Toronto is allegedly on the power play.

 

5-4 for the Penguins with two minutes to go! Go Penguins! Helluva rush by Staal, but Toskala got him.

Penguins 14-5 on shots in the third.

 

Canes 3-1. Cam Ward with 23 saves.

Organization is in a groove ... almost wish the five-day break wasn't ahead. Sort of ...

 

Oh and they weren't on a PP, but they are now. Armstrong just took a tripping call om Antropov at the Pitty blue. Unless I'm on time delay. Damn CBC.

Also seen AHL/IHL/ECHL hockey in Louisville (IceHawks and River Frogs), Houston (Aeros), Baltimore (Skipjacks) and Gwinnett, Ga. (Gladiators).

 

Yup and the Leafs just had a goal disallowed.

Toronto's team defense, defensemen and goaltending are atrocious. Other than that, the Leafs are Cup contenders.
