    My official hockey list: ESA
Other arenas I've seen sans ice: MSG, Denver

Whalercanes up 2-1 late in third. If they hang on, I'm really liking the momentum wave this team is building - as much as one can be built this early ...

Pens lead Leafs, 5-4, in the third. Toronto is allegedly on the power play.

5-4 for the Penguins with two minutes to go! Go Penguins! Helluva rush by Staal, but Toskala got him.

Canes 3-1. Cam Ward with 23 saves.

Organization is in a groove ... almost wish the five-day break wasn't ahead. Sort of ...

Oh and they weren't on a PP, but they are now. Armstrong just took a tripping call om Antropov at the Pitty blue. Unless I'm on time delay. Damn CBC.

Oh man, Staal is special. He just picked the puck in the neutral zone and turned it up. It was sa-weet.

And now they get an empty-netter in the last minute.

    Let's see ...

    - Capital Centre: Oilers-Caps, 1988.
    - Philips Arena: a dozen or so Thrashers games since '99.
    - Staples Center, about 2-3 Kings games.
    - The Pond, a dozen or so Ducks games (including two playoff games) since '05.
    - Glendale Arena, Coyotes-Blackhawks, '06.

Also seen AHL/IHL/ECHL hockey in Louisville (IceHawks and River Frogs), Houston (Aeros), Baltimore (Skipjacks) and Gwinnett, Ga. (Gladiators).

Yup and the Leafs just had a goal disallowed.

Toronto's team defense, defensemen and goaltending are atrocious. Other than that, the Leafs are Cup contenders.
