    I hope that's the case. And I hope that there isn't another team that's foolish enough to believe he can coach them to a Cup. He's the single most destructive force in the game.

    The players had no chance in the last lockout no matter who was leader of the association. The owners were unified and willing to wait as long as it took. It's billionaires fighting millionaires and the billionaires were willing to stay out as long as it took.
    I hope the new hire has the players best interest at heart and can keep his ego in check, something I don't think either Bettman or Goodenow could do.

    That this game went to shootout makes me angry ... especially knowing how bad Kiprusoff is at shootouts.

    And Flash is right. There is no reason that this game should be in the shootout. Not one.

    They're throwing out hats, because Smyth scored on his shot. Does that make for a legit hat-trick? I say no.
