Re: ESPN's oblivious attitude toward the Pac-10: They don't carry any of their games, so they must not be any good ... but hey, Stewie can drop knowledge on the Philadelphia Soul. <As an aside, it feels good to rip on D.J. Stewie again ... been too long>

This is actually ESPN's worst nightmare ... five Pac-10 guys in the first 13 picks, which means they have to offer insight into five guys they've never seen play.

You can expect 1.7 points and .9 rebounds in 4.5 MPG hitting Golden State this year.

You talking about what the NBA scouts say about him, or what the groupies' scouting reports say?

Um, everyone, even on ESPN's staff, knows Kevin Love's name -- just like everyone knew Kevin Pittsnogle's name.

I know Stuart Scott takes a lot of abuse on this board (I thought it was mostly for his catch phrases and style), but I know now I was wrong. Any time he doesn't have a bit of trivia fed to him by producers (first guy from College X drafted in round 1 since x) he says something off the top of his head he comes across as very naive. It wouldn't be so bad if there was a straight anchor somewhere on the broadcast who could see the forest from the trees, instead he tosses to Steven A. Smith who makes feeble attempts to get something interesting out of the draftees. Where is Mel Kiper when you need him? I'd settle for Theisman, John Clayton or even Rick Reilly or Bill Simmons. Pathetic.

Yikes ... Dickie V just agreed with me that the Knicks should have taken Augustin over Gallinari ... I don't know how to feel about that.

    Wow. Robin Lopez went early.

That hat on Lopez is fantastic.

Certainly it would be asking too much for them to know more information on the guy than that. And I'm not watching the draft, but please tell me they didn't talk about his uncle the Beach Boy.

You should probably watch the draft before criticizing ESPN's knowledge of the players.

Speights. I don't know about that pick for the Sixers.
