More importantly, was rube calling Canada a U.S. city?

 

So, what did we think? I thought you could see enough of the puck through Biron's webbing to give it, but can understand why they didn't.

 

Reasonable doubt kept them from giving that goal to the Pens. But Martin Biron may also have a good future in robbery.

 

The refs have to conclusively see the puck cross the goal-line. Because Biron's trapper covered it, they couldn't possibly see it -- at least not on any of the replays CBC showed.

 

The one angle that was different from the conventional back-of-the-net cam was from right above in the left side of the net, looking straight down.

I'm positive I could see the puck over the line with clear ice behind it through the netting in Biron's trapper on one of the frames when they really slowed it down. But as I said earlier I understand the decision to wave it off.

 

I understand why it got waved off as well.
But, damnit, IT WAS A FREAKIN' GOAL!

 

Absolutely was a goal.

 

Was he cheap shot artist in juniors?

I'll admit that I chortled after Kennedy's right to Upshaw's mug.
