Hossa was missing? For the first time this series I saw Dan Briere, and that was only because the camera zoomed in on him. 4-2 Penguins, now onto Philly.

    Flyers are done.

If there's a God, She'll make sure those Philly Pukes are done in four.

Here's something I didn't know: Crosby uses a straight stick which kinda explains that backhand he ratted off the crossbar.

Elliotte did a great profile on Biron in the pre-game segment Inside Hockey

What I don't get is why the NHL can't stick cameras low enough to help with goal/no-goal calls such as last night's.

While it was pretty clearly a goal (or at least it sure looks like one to me in the picture below), the right call was made because there was no proof.

And while it's ancient history by now, the EXACT same thing happened in Game 7 of Hurricanes-Oilers. Canes had one waved off that should have counted. That one only happened in Game 7 of a one-goal Stanley Cup Final.

Don Cherry pointed out something as well: when was the last time they painted new goal lines--1997?

Under the circumstances it was the right call and hats off to Biron for maintaining that time-honoured goalie tradition--yanking the puck out of the net before the ref could see it
