Was it just three pages ago we were wondering about the Pens' killer instinct? That was a pretty effective killshot they unleashed Sunday.

As for Laraque, he tried to get Hatcher to go the last two games and Hatcher wanted no part of it. Also thought it was funny when Hartnell (at least I think it was Hartnell) skated by Laraque and started running his mouth. Skated pretty fast, though -- he wasn't about to go with him.

I was also surprised by how uneventful the third period was.

The Flyers are phony tough. They'll run other players and take cheapshots, but without Riley Cote in the starting lineup, they won't scrap.

I will give Hatcher credit for kicking the crap out of Ryan Malone in game four but other than that the Flyers are a bunch of cheap-shotting pussies ...

From his Dallas days, Hatcher has a penchant for getting the convenient "game misconduct" before retaliation can take place.

There's been so much crease-crashing since the league re-opened for business, perhaps the league needs to look into reinstating the goaltender's box for next season.

Datsyuk just put the nail in the coffin. Game over. Series over. Let's prepare for Gary Bettman's wet dream final, Pittsburgh vs. Detroit.

    The Stars are ...

    Dead.

    To.

    Everybody.

If you want to watch decent hockey, Belleville and Gatineau are tied at 3 late in the 2nd in Memorial Cup play.

I can say with great confidence that someone from Nova Scotia will have his name on the Cup this year. Woo hoo!

If I am not mistaken, this is the first time since the lockout that Detroit and Pittsburgh will meet.

The Red Wings won 3-1 the first season after the lockout ended, Zetterberg scoring twice, and 2-0 last season with Hasek getting a shutout.

    Didn't play this season.
