First, you have to get the opportunity to buy one.

The bleeds you can get for 25 bones. But you may as well just stay home for that money ... eight bucks a beer, four bucks for an underboiled hotdog and soggy bun, 20 bucks for parking ...

The surface prices are actually quite reasonable. The issue is that the tickets are hard to get and the bleeds go for at least 100 on ebay.

Whooo ... more problems for the Penguins. Franzen plays tonight.

Upon further review, Whalercanes are trying to get $25 for the nosebleeds. But a sponsor hasn't been found, either. The 2-3 years prior to this past season, a radio station ran a promo where those seats were $10.29 ... though usually available only on game day.

Still, less than $11 for the game, $7-8 for parking, pretty reasonable food that's typically pricey but not back-breaking. It's a good deal. And the chances of inclement weather are reduced in the Triangle.

Fans in that area are pretty damn lucky to have prices like that.
Those are junior hockey prices up here. Good for the Canes, making it affordable for a younger demographic to be able to afford tickets.

Exactly. Someone with the organization played this very well.

Build a fanbase, make the tickets affordable. Not only does it built a good rapport with the community, but families can afford to take the kids, building the future generation of fans in a non-traditional market.

Many of the others are trying to do this as well, but aren't as successful (Atlanta, Sunrise are the places I'm currently targeting). A lot of that has to do with lousy teams, though. Yes, the Whalercanes have missed the playoffs in each of the last two years, but run to the Cup final in '02 and winning the Cup four years later have done wonders to draw fans.

    And trail 1-0. This sucks.

Malkin's line needs two goals, at least, to pull this one out.

Dat/Zette line is just too good.

Forget that. I simply want the Penguins to get a shot on goal before the first period ends. And as I type that, it's 2-0 Wings.

    Again, this sucks.

    PP and hopefully a shot.

Finally some heat in the Detroit kitchen.

Pens are not getting to anything loose in front of the net.

    Yikes ... three SOG?

The funniest thing I've seen live in a long while is Chris Bruton dropping the Memorial Cup. The look on his face is absolutely priceless.

    Detriot's defense is amazing.

Thank God those fuckers are all 9-10 years older than Sid and Malkin so they won't have to look at them forever.
