Penguins played better in the second period ... but dammit, I don't want them to head back to Pittsburgh without a goal in two Stanley Cup games.

This series has been one giant kick to the manberries.

  3. ...Pittsburgh doesn't have a chance if they keep turning the puck over, don't shoot the puck, and get nothing from their stars but it hasn't helped that Watson and Joanette are officiating this game. Therrien has to do something to get this team going in the third period or it is going to be a long time between the buzzer and game three with a goose egg still on the board.

What do you mean by this. Do they have a history with the Penguins or Therrien?

Bottom line, the Pens need to play better ... not drawing a holding penalty 22 seconds into a period would be a start.

This Wings look tougher to beat than the '02 team that took the Cup. And we all know this Pittsburgh has more firepower than Carolina did six years ago.

Somebody's going down, and they're going down hard.

    Quite possibly Gary Roberts.

As much as Franzen's head is hurting right now?

  9. Therrien has had problems with Watson and Joanette for two years. Pens actually filed a complaint with the league about Watson's conduct on the ice and comments made to players and coaches.

  10. ...as you're seeing now, Therrien is going to blow after this game, if not before. He and Watson are not on professional terms and the league should have known this going into the Stanley Cup finals. Crosby and Malkin are being outclassed by Zetterberg and Datsyuk so Pens have a whole lot more to worry about then a referee with an agenda.

OMG! Pens got a goal shot.

This has been an enormous fucking diappointment. Enormous.

And while it will be all well and good for Therrien to do whateverthefuck he wants after the game, I'd really appreciate it if he could help figure out how to get an even-strength shot on goal or two.

It could have been a lot uglier during the final minutes, but Laraque was on the bench. This has been a depressing two games.
