He was like Tommy Wildfire Rich clearing the deck.

He had four hits in about 15 seconds.

    Shit, Wings ain't done yet.

He's making himself a bit of FA money, isn't he?

Lads. Lasses. Buckle up. We're going to have a hell of a finish.

Oh, I know it. But the topic was young Jagr.

    Whew.

OK, Detroit can be beaten, and it didn't even take 100 tries.

This ain't a series unless the Pens can get it to 2-2.

But at least now there is some hope.

That 10-minute stretch in the third was NBC's wet dream.

I nearly had a heart attack in that final minute...holy crap.

They figured something out...not sure what...but I'll take it!

Yep, a stupid comment, even with all the hyperbole at SportsJournalists.com.

Damn, I'm relieved now that this one's in the books. What a great game, especially with all the back-and-forth action in the middle of that last period, which is more along the lines of what I think we all expected when this series began.

The game that we've all been waiting for.

Man, that was some serious hockey.

Just thought I'd throw this out there, especially after tonight' game. Do the Penguins have to win the cup for Crosby to win the Conn Smyth? I know yes technically he can, but realistically could he, esp. with the spotlight that is on this series largely due to his presence?
Personally I think if Detroit wins it should be Zetterberg, but I wouldn't rule out the kid.

I don't think Crosby's done enough to win the Conn Smythe if the Pens don't win the Cup (even if the Final goes 7.)

The only non-goaltender to win the Conn Smythe in a losing effort was Reggie Leach, who had to set a playoff record with 19 goals for the Flyers in 1976 to do so.

And it's happened just twice since then (Hextall, '87; Giguere, '03)

Zetterberg and Crosby are in line to win it, depending on which team prevails -- but I think Osgood deserves a serious, serious look if the Wings win the Cup. I think he's been the real difference-maker this postseason.
