God 2-2. I don't know if I can watch this.

    Shit.

    There is your game winner.

BC, the Pens will get a year wiser and the Red Wings be a year older.

The Wings have been getting another year older for the last five years. That hasn't seemed to be a problem.

It will be a vastly different Pens roster next season.

Not to be a superstitious fanboy looser, but I'm taking the blame for the Pens' losses.

Every Finals game I've watched, they've lost. Tonight, I flip over at the start of the third period and see they're winning. Do I flip the channel? No, I watch the Red Wings score two before going back to the Pirates-Cardinals game.

Just so long as Crosby and Fleury are on it.

Don't bet on it. The same was said when the Wings rolled over the Whalercanes in 2002.

    "They're old."
    "That's a pricey payroll."
"They'll never have that stacked a roster again."

Well, they're younger as Lidstrom is the only marquee holdover from that HOF-infested group from six years ago.

They got cheaper - as they had to to get under the salary cap. But players like Pavel Datsyuk proved there were young guns to replace Yzerman and Larionov and friends.

This team may not be as stacked, but it's absolutely solid everywhere. And only Chelios and Dominik Hasek are getting calls from Father Time.
