This win scares me. Syracuse may think it's a good basketball team now.

Cuse definitely looked good last night. Aggressive as hell on both ends of the floor. The question for them IMO comes when they finally go on the road in Jan for BE play.

Do you believe MSU are overrated?

Personally I wouldn't say MSU is overrated (All their losses have come against good teams) but they're just not playing good basketball right now. For a team that usually owns the glass, they got killed tonight. And looked allergic to attacking that 2-3 after the first Cuse time out. Turnovers have been killing them all year. For a team with such guard talent it's really disappointing.

KU, Kentucky, MIchigan State and Duke will start the next three seasons in something called the Champions Classic, which will pit the four teams against each other with two season opening games at MSG in 2011, the Georgia Dome in 2012 and at United Center in 2013.

    I love it.

A bit pretentious on the name there. UCLA, North Carolina and Indiana have each won more championships than three of those four programs. Maybe they should start their own "champions" club.

That's awesome and the about the only way to get a KU-Duke regular season matchup because K has no interest in a home-and-home. As far as the name goes, it certainly fits and I'm guessing whoever is organizing/bankrolling this will gladly take the teams you mentioned in future years, though Roy Williams will never agree to play Kansas.

In the ACC/Midwest Challenge tonight, Duke is whipping Butler and NC has pummeled Evansville.

In the entertaining SEC/Big 12 Shoot-Off, Vandy is leading at Missouri, 54-48 with 12 mins left.

EDIT: Vandy up 2 with a minute left (ESPN-U)
FINAL EDIT: Mizzou wins the 51st straight non-conference game on its home floor, 85-82 in OT

I saw DePaul tonight. That might be the worst major conference team I've ever seen.

Via the ticker I see, in a matchup of former Southwest Conference schools, Texas Tech dissected TCU 79-39.

    OUCH!!!

Future road trips to Storrs, Syracuse, Philly, D.C., etc are going to be loads of fun for the Frogs.

Well, KU, Kentucky, Michigan State and Duke have combined for eight championships since 1992. UCLA, North Carolina and Indiana have combined for three in that same time span -- all by the Tar Heels. So in terms of recent history, it's accurate. And I'm guessing North Carolina passed because Roy didn't want to play KU.

This year, Gonzaga won't have to pretend it's a "cinderella" ... the Zags really are the post-midnight version. In other words, not pretty.

Klay Thompson and the Cougars destroyed GU last night, 81-57, scoring at will inside against a taller Gonzaga team.

Notre Dame might beat GU by 40 this weekend.
