I don't remember who's said it last year but they bitched about bad PAC-10 home cooking. After watching my first 2 west coast games this season I see why. Jeebus

 

I realize I'm a hopeless old fogey, but when I tune in the weekend after New Year's, I should be seeing conference openers, not teams five games deep into league play.

 

No. 1 Dookies bite the dust at Florida State.

 

You know, when I saw this thread popped to the top, and spnited had posted, I immediately went and deleted the game from my DVR without even watching it.

 

How did you know what I posted before you read it?
I am not a Dookie hater.

 

It was worthwhile action, even though Duke didn't come out on top.

As usual, Florida State was defending the moment Duke got off the bus. Devils shot 31 percent. Some of that was missing open 3s, but the Devils on pogo sticks couldn't develop a post game on these guys. Superb defense by the Seminoles. It's the sort of effort that has Leonard Hamilton wondering why they can't do that more often.

Tallahassee has been a house of horrors for Duke the last decade.

Does anybody really believe that there are only six teams in America better than San Diego State?

 

Probably not. But the season has progressed to the point where still being unbeaten is an accomplishment. Not even the cupcake masters can avoid everyone by this point.
