UCLA plays at Oregon tomorrow. Don't the Bruins wear Adidas?

 

I stand corrected. Confused Southern California with Stanford, therefore the coach is Kevin O'Neill instead of Johnny Dawkins.

O'Neill is enough of a tough guy to not be afraid to rock the boat. But USC is a Nike school, so doing anything to go after Knight probably makes Pat Haden's job a little more difficult.

I don't think Mike Patrick has any idea who half the Virginia players are in this Duke-UVa game. He's called at least three different players Evans and then Jontel Evans goes driving into the lane before half and he calls him Harris.

 

Patrick makes me sick. This is why people hate Duke: not for anything Duke actually did, but because of the way announcers fellate them. Duke is down a little bit in the first half, somebody calls timeout. They come back from commercial, and Patrick bellows, "LOOK at the way Mike Krzyzewski handled that last timeout," or some such bullshit. They show a still of K sitting in the huddle diagramming a play. On a whiteboard. While his players listen.

 

If Tom Emanski ever wanted to produce an instructional video on how to fuck up a basketball game, the last 2:30 of the Mizzou-A&M game would be a great starting point.

 

Well, at least Dickie V was in Knoxvegas today watching a trainwreck of a game between Vandy and Rocky Top.
