Am I supposed to say nothing good about K-State after they ran KU off the court?

That they did. On the other side, Bill Self looked like he was about to go FrankenMartin on his players. Jordan Jeuneman had more rebounds than Markieff Morris. That's all you need to know.

KU needs Thomas Robinson healthy if it is going to make a deep run in the tournament. And Taylor looked like a complete head case out there waiting for Selby to come off the bench and take his minutes. His first four minutes may have been the worst I've seen a KU player play in 10 years and it set the tone for the rest of the night.

    Couple of things:

    * Nation's longest winning streak falls for the second time in four days last night as Gardner-Webb beats Coastal Carolina on its home floor, snapping the Beach Chickens' 22-game run.

    * Apparently this Charles Jenkins cat at Hofstra is pretty good.

And who has the nation's longest winning streak now?

    That's riiiiiiight.......

    :)

Better watch yo' ass, Mason. Coastal had it for four days before losing to a 9-18 team at home.

Pfft. A loss Saturday at Northern Iowa wouldn't suck all that bad. If that's what it takes to keep them out of the 8-9 game, as most everyone is predicting, so be it. It's a non-con game. No biggie.

I mean, they can't keep this shit up forever anyway. Classic letdown game. After last night's huge win, clinching a share of the CAA and a first round bye, then flying halfway across the country. Yup. Wouldn't surprise me. At all.

Ugh. Wahoos. No one uglies up a game like you do. And by "uglies up a game" I mean "shoot well under 20 percent for long stretches."

At least the ugliness keeps it close so Coach K can't pull his usual move of showing how big his dick is by leaving his starters in until the last minute with a 30-point lead over UVa.

Yeah, it's been really ugly at times this year, but I'll got out on a limb now and say Virginia is the most improved team in the country next year. The Cavs will be in the NCAA Tournament and people will be wondering were the hell they came from.

UAB down 1 at Memphis in the closing seconds of what might as well be a Bracket Buster game.

You think so? I know a healthy Mike Scott could make a huge difference, but even with him, I'm not sure where the offense is coming from next year for UVa. I guess Joe Harris has shown he can fill it up, and he and Harrell should be improved. But with Evans and Sene, they're basically playing 3 on 5 on offense, although both have shown flashes of competence.

Of course, without Scott they haven't had even a semblance of a post offense. If he gets a fifth year and James Johnson is as good as advertised, the Wahoos look pretty strong.

Yeah, I'm assuming Scott is able to come back. With Scott and Johnson all the sudden you have some depth underneath. Sene and Mitchell are nice pieces if they don't have to play the bulk of the minutes. I'm also basing it partially on being told that the Brogdon kid they are bringing in is the real deal.
