Hey. That's Coastal Carolina's spot! Chanticleers/Hokies all bird showdown! Chickens vs. turkeys!

Does Southwest Missouri State have a shot at an at-large if Indiana State hangs on? And why is there an NBA 3-point line on the court in St. Louis?

ODU and Mason are in, no matter what. If VCU beats ODU on Monday, three teams go in. Otherwise, VCU is a middle seed in the NIT, while VT is a 1 or 2 seed, so they might meet in the second round.

Drexel is probably a 5-6 NIT seed. Hofstra and JMU are on the NIT bubble.

I'll see your purgatory and raise you a hell: I covered a women's (mid-major) conference tournament quarterfinal on Friday in which the halftime score was ... 15-7. Teams combined to shoot 17.3 percent. Division I basketball.

Not bloody likely and I don't know. I asked someone at the MVC about that a few years and no one could give me a straight answer.

Big-time defense...Let me guess, a couple of straight 2-3 zones packed in the paint? ha.

I hope VCU beats Old Dominion. I want to see the CAA get three bids.

As for Missouri State, I think Lunardi had them as one of his last four out. Missouri Valley just hasn't been as strong the past few years.

Are the teams not as good, or are they just not putting together the same quality on the resumes?

I thought Wichita State was pretty good when I saw them early in the year. I thought they could be good enough to be a second-weekend team in the tournament ... the key words being "could be," which is different from "were." They were no slam-dunk Sweet 16 team by any stretch, but they were a solid-looking bunch.

They're just down, as demonstrated in BracketBusters, when the Colonial pretty-much cleaned their clocks. Colonial is up this year, but still.
