UVa's been doing it all year long. They get a lead, take the air out of the ball and stop playing. I've forgiven them because they're really young and not all that talented without Mike Scott.

This was different. This was a bed-shitting of epic proportions, and yes, some of it goes back to Bennett, although he wasn't the one (coughZeglinskicough) that kept handing the ball back to Miami. It was embarrassing to watch.

I really feel for Mustapha Farrakhan, who has been an absolute warrior all year, didn't really fuck up that much at the end and then ended his career on that note.

Make it 57-54 ECU with 26 seconds left.

Mike Tirico did a hell of a job narrating those Virginia/Miami highlights between Big East games. Very dry and funny.

OT in El Paso. UAB and ECU tied 57-57.

If teams made $1000 per free throw, UAB would die broke.

But they won. Ohio State gets high praise as the most consistently excellent team this season, but even the Buckeyes had their share of close games against lesser teams -- at Iowa (won by 5), Minnesota (by 3), at Michigan (by 4) and at Northwestern (by 1).

Hopefully, KU plays a much crisper game tomorrow. They've been in an offensive funk the past couple weeks. Fortunately, the defense has improved during that time.

Pirates up 7 in last minute of OT. UAB now stands for U Ain't on the Bubble anymore.

    Way to go, UVa.
And people up my way wondered why Billy Baron left.

I'm with you on the Ohio State thing. I don't think they're quite as good as Kansas, but that's not a point I could support well today.

Perhaps, but Georgia's in pretty good shape anyway after not blowing it against Auburn today. Solid RPI, solid SOS, pretty much the only bubble team who doesn't have an idiotic loss on the ledger. Their problem is that they've been awful close but no cigar in a lot of marquee games (took Florida and Notre Dame to 2OT and probably should've won both), so the THEY JUST KNOW HOW TO WIN!!!!1 isn't there. If the committee rolls with the numbers, they'll be in as a 10 regardless of the game tomorrow. See also: George Mason, 2006.

I see no reason why Alabama and UGa should be in a win or die situation while Tennessee is considered safe.
