Choking away games like this is a Wahoo tradition. There's a saving grace for this UVa grad, though. I'm going to the rest of the tournament with my dad and brother - used to go all the time, then got into newspapers and couldn't get the time off. Now I'm driving down tomorrow, and dammit, I'm going to enjoy it. And I even get to sleep in a little since I don't care about Miami-UNC.

Seth Greenberg can also be my saving grace if his guys lose tonight.

As an aside, I think today's first session might be the lowest-attended in a LONG time in the tournament...

Miami (no one cares, certainly no one travels) vs. UVa (possibly the biggest draw in this pod, which is saying something)
BC (see Miami) vs. Wake (right up the road, but terrible team and disgruntled fan base)

They were very good in Fall/Winter 2010. Allowed them to get the big wins they needed to coast now. Would not be surprised if they got punked by Arkansas but made the field anyway.

USC is up 10 on Cal. The Trojans are shooting 6-13 on 3 PTs and 7-20 on 2 PTs. Truly a masterclass in mediocre Pac-10 basketball.

Salute them. Very nice work, on their part.

Would've been nice to see Frank Martin in all his vein-popping fury. But because of the Big 12's truly blowful television deal, I was stuck watching Minnesota and Northwestern renew their battle of who gives a shit.

I can't believe Iowa is winning this game.

And another bubble bursts with Colorado State falling to New Mexico.

New Mexico has already beaten BYU twice and hung fairly close with SDSU both times. I wouldn't be shocked Los Lobos won the MWC tourney and stole a bid from somebody.
