Running 2010 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament thread

Discussion in 'Sports and News' started by Rumpleforeskin, Mar 18, 2010.

  1. Do these Elite Eight games seem early to anybody else? I seem to remember Gonzaga and UCLA playing a classic deep into the night, but I might be wrong.

    Speak for yourself. I would much rather watch St. Mary's than Baylor and Duke. I'd certainly rather see NIU than MSU, because I'm sick of hearing about how Izzo does more than less even though he only beat a Northern Iowa school by a few points despite having a roster full of 4 and 5 star recruits

    I just read the last 4 pages of this thread, and am coming to some definite conclusions;

    Something may get amputated tonight.

    Gus Johnson is at orgasmic levels of excitement, and we're at 10:45 left in the first half.

    Bob Huggins will look like an oreo cookie again tonight.

    That was a Sweet 16 game. These are the normal times for the Elite Eight.

    Butler's leading, but it seems eventually K-State's rebounding is going to be the difference in this game.

  6. You understand that MSU was without its starting point guard?

    Here's the difference between Butler and Cornell/St. Mary's. The guards for Butler are quick and strong enough to be able to create scoring opportunities when a play breaks down. The guards for Cornell were just completely smothered by the defenders for Kentucky.

    Also, apropos of an earlier discussion, Stevens has very little reason to leave Butler in the next year or two considering that outside of Veasley, this Butler team will return the rest of its top guys next year and Hayward, Mack and Nored are all sophomores. They will almost certainly be a top 10 heading into next year.

    If I hear Gus and Len talk about fatogure one more time, I'm going to mute the TV.

    It's 15 minutes into the game and they are talking about how the 2 ot game tired them out. They played 10 extra minutes, not 2 extra games.

  10. This thread should be locked, too, since printdust made a political comment.

    Thanks for checking in, Boom.

  12. Well that's the standard now, apparently.
